RTI Act, 2005 — Compliance
The Supreme Court of India is committed to transparency and accountability in its administrative functioning, consistent with the Right to Information Act, 2005. Information relating to the administrative wing of the Registry that is not exempt under the Act may be sought in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
How to apply
Applications under the RTI Act may be filed through the Online RTI Portal of the Supreme Court of India, or in the manner prescribed by the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) of the Registry. Applicants should clearly specify the information sought and pay the fee, if any, as prescribed under the RTI Rules.

Particulars of the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) and the First Appellate Authority of the Supreme Court Registry are published and updated periodically. For the latest designation particulars, please consult the Online RTI Portal and official circulars of the Registry.
Proactive disclosures
In furtherance of Section 4 of the RTI Act, 2005, the Registry endeavours to publish suo motu disclosures relating to organisation, functions, decision-making processes, norms, rules, directory of officers, and other categories of information specified under the Act, subject to exemptions.
